Sorry it has been a while since I last posted something, but I've been trying to find a paragraph I wrote in spanish class about God's love... I can't find it... Central Service Tonight

Well you guys tonight is the service at central and I am actually pretty nervous... I feel great and am praying the Holy Spirit will fill the hearts of the people, and am thanking God that He has brought this awesome opportunity into my life. For anyone who wants to come, it starts at 6:00 and is in the adult sanctuary. The full name of the church is Central Church of God. Its basically the sunday night service but the youth is doing the music and I was invited to help out in the worship. Well today is the last day of spring break and I thank the Lord for all of the blessings He has brought, but I am also praying for strength, love, and patience for the days ahead. music stuff

Today was really busy music wise... first i got up and had to orchestrate 4 songs for thursday's recording... then I had a meeting with this awesome man of God who is currently starting a church... then preston russ calls me and asks if I could learn eye of the tiger and The Climb by miley cyrus... I said yeah definitly! but like what? pretty random song choice don't you think? But... It turns out its for a theatre program at grace academy so it all worked out:) I worked on those 2 for a while then there was a practice at central church for this sunday... that went great and the band is amazing! Practice for Central was awesome last night and the youth choir sounds terrific! I am definitly excited in how the Lord will use their hearts. For all the musicians out there... Do you guys know if its possible to mod a nighttrain head with an FX loop?... Sorry to ask but man I love messing around with sound and stuff:) Right now I've been praying alot about this decision I have coming up and I'm still unclear on what the Lord wants... But im trusting that He will show me in due time... I was reading an article the other day in Worship Leader magazine and Vicky Beeching was talking about fusing good theology in writing worship songs. It was a very interesting article being that it talked alot about how people will remember the songs sung in church, but won't remember the 5 main points of the sermon... She went on to say, in our writings, we should try and mix in a good message to the congregation as well as great worship. Well I gotta get going... God Bless! In Christ, Jordan Shaw

Central Tonight.

Man, Central was totally awesome tonight! Pastor Jason did an incredible job and so did those giving their testimonies! The passage band was great and really set the tone and led the worship! Today over all was so totally great! Had an excelent Bible study with the guys at lunch and I am so excited for their hearts. I feel the Lord is really working in CCS and I am thrilled. If you are reading this I ask if you would be praying for some of the decisions coming up that I will have to make... Bible Study

One random fact about me is I get up pretty early... I slept over at a friends house last night and of course I'm the first one up so I thought I would blog a little:) Later today some guys and I are getting together for a Bible study. I'm definitly excited for it and feel something totally awesome is gonna spark... ok... I saved this as a draft yesterday and just wanted to say the Bible Study was incredible!! This is going to be totally awesome! We are now all on the same page and have a very specific vision for where we want to be!

Service went great tonight!

Man I am so thankful for the oppurtunity the Lord gave me tonight to lead worship for Carmel Baptist's youth group! Just an excelent group of kids with such mature hearts! The worship and the message went just terrific tonight and it thrills me just to see how God will use all of this! I got to go to bed... Im tired:) In Christ, Jordan Shaw

School was definitly awesome today! Tonight's gonna be very busy though... I'm practicing the set for tomorrow at Carmel, then gonna do a lot of prayer and devotions, and finally I'm gonna be practicing with a friend for the upcoming talent show. And of course, there's always homework:) Whoever is reading this I just want to ask a favor of you and to be praying for the service at Carmel tomorrow and that the Holy Spirit will really be moving in that place. The set list is very open and can easily go wherever the Holy Spirit is leading. I'm just praying that I will be able to do what I need to do to bring the kids into the worship. Man, this weekend was great! Definitly busy though, but thats all part of the fun:) Just got back from youth group at Carmel baptist and it was great! Excelent sermon about love! Well, there's a talent show coming up at my school and origionally wasn't going to do it, but now Im going to be singing a duet with someone. Im looking forward to it and in my opinion I think it will be great! Never sang country before, but there's a first for everything:) Earlier today I went to CCS to walk around the school and prayed a bit... I was planning on just a few minutes, but it turned into a few hours:)... Well, thats His way of working sometimes... Its late and I need to get to bed so good night everyone and God Bless! Hey you guys!
Friday night was awesome and I had such a blast at Jesse's party! Just a totally great day overall, and being able to just fellowship with my bro's and sis's in Christ made it even better! Well, this morning I woke up and got immediately to work on the setlist for Carmel... About two hours later I stopped and began to work on Homework... Now im just kinda playing some music and trying to do some writing... I tell ya there's nothing better than just sitting back and writing songs... just so peaceful and an awesome way to express what I feel to the Lord. Btw... My family is trying to give away our rabbit so if anyone wants him just talk to me about it later... My friend Alan Crosby, who is a bassist, is coming over to jam and stuff later this evening... worship at Carmel

Hey you guys!

So, last night it was confirmed that Im going to be leading worship at carmel baptist march 3! Im very excited and really feel like the Lord is going to do something awesome in that place! I think it starts at 6:00 if im correct... Well... Today was really great! The Lord really blessed me with a break from all of the spiritual warfare so I could just hang out and talk, even though I tend to be a bit quiet:) One of my friends almost choked from laughin so hard at lunch, well not legitimate choking, but kinda choking:) I cant remember what it was he was laughing at but whatever it was it about killed him:) Anyway... Nothing can Match the Power of a Loving God!

Hey everybody,
School was pretty good today, but wow, im totally burned out. It seems like everyday there's like a thousand new spiritual battles that totally flood in... I'm so thankful for those who passionately care about Christ, whether we know each other well or not, and want to see a change within! Without them I would be broken. There is Hope though!! I can see plainly the Holy Spirit moving in our school and a change is coming!:) Well, Everyone, Just keep on standing for the Lord! Sunday's are Goodday's

Wow... 75 not a cloud in the sky and in the middle of february? Amazing man! My dad and I were going to go mountain biking after church, but my mom comes crashing in with the grave words, "Homework" But! I did get a chance to walk my dog around the neighborhood a few times. Not exactly the thrill of wizzing past trees and hurtling over rocks but still.... It was Georgeous! My dog was way too busy dragging me across the neighbors yards in pursuit of a squirrel to notice, but if she did... She would have agreed:)

The worship service went great today! The worship leader, Mr. Bengston) decided to throw in an old southern gospel hymn to the beginning of the set. Oh sorry... "Rootsy Southern Gospel Hymn!" "Amen!" "Hallelujah!" I was on acoustic guitar today and we all had a blast with that song. "Good Times, Good Times" Well, tomorrow is school... This weekend has been great, a little tiring.... but great:)

I have been playing music since I was nine and started leading worship when I was ten and have loved it ever since:) I feel the Lord has really put a calling on my life to do so and has provided me the tools I need.
